About the Programme
Factory International and adidas have partnered to deliver Originals Creator Network North, a 6-month development opportunity for 20 underrepresented young creatives (aged 18-30yrs), living in Manchester & Greater Manchester.
The participants will receive mentorship, work experience opportunities and masterclasses from industry leaders, helping to establish them within the creative industry. In addition to this, the cohort will receive a £600 bursary, be able to access state of the art equipment and will work towards developing a creative showcase with their peers which will be shared as the culmination of the project.
This programme seeks to address underrepresentation in the creative industry, support young people with the skills to navigate working in the creative sector, and develop valuable networks.
About the Application Process
Our application process is split into two parts:
- Your Portfolio
This is space for you to submit examples of your work. You can upload these in various formats, including social media profiles, website links, PDFs, Word documents, or online drives. We want to see the work that best illustrates your practice and that you're most proud of. There will be space within the application questions to detail why you've chosen these examples.
There are two options to submit work based on the format, and we ask that you upload 3 examples in total.
- Application Questions
There are 3 questions we’d like you to answer as part of the application process for the adidas Originals Creator Network North. These questions help us understand your motivations for wanting to join the programme and what you might like to gain from this opportunity. We recommend a maximum of 300 words for each answer.
Alternatively, you can upload a video answering the questions instead, using the link below.
There will be an online webinar on 7 October at 4pm, where space is held for any support queries you may have while applying for Originals Creator Network North. Please use the following link if you’d like to join: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88091202457
