Factory International invites artists from across the globe to create extraordinary new work for the Festival, which is staged every two years at venues and found spaces across Manchester. And now we’re preparing for our new permanent home opening this summer, a world-class cultural space being built in the heart of the city, where we’ll present a year-round programme and artists will be able to develop work of huge ambition and scale that they might not be able to anywhere else.
We are seeking committed and passionate people to deliver an internationally significant creative and cultural programme, which takes dedication but is immensely rewarding.
We match people to projects that fit their skills and experience, which means your start date and contract length will depend on the project you work on - you could be working on events for Factory International and/or MIF23.
What we're looking for;
The main purpose of the Event Manager role is to deliver events and activities across Factory International’s programmes of work including commercial events, large scale concerts and our wide-ranging public programme. We are looking for someone who can bring creativity to the development and delivery of events, liaising with external partners to deliver memorable and distinctive projects.
The scope of the role is broad, and you could be delivering large scale concerts by international artists, managing high profile product launches in the expanse of the Warehouse or overseeing exciting Public Programme events such as skate parks in the public realm. The role is varied and you will be working across multiple parts of the building to deliver exciting and innovative work for our partners and audiences.
It would be great to hear from anyone who has skills & experience in the above areas.
Please note that these roles will be on site and in person, so being based in Manchester or within a reasonable commuting distance is essential.
WHAT’S NEXT
We will contact you as and when we have a project that we feel is a good match for you. We will inform you of the project’s timescale, compensation and other details and invite you for an informal conversation to provide further detail or to interview directly.
